Sorry for the delay, hang really tough

I’m unbelievably busy at the moment so the gallery script is on the back burner. Once things slow down just a bit I’ll jump back on it, promise.

Also, I’m having no luck with my RSS feed as it shows up empty. The W3C feed validator is having trouble finding it so I’m unable to analyze it for syntax. Any ideas? FYI: feed is generated by Wordpress 1.5.1

Update: I’m planning on upgrading to Wordpress 2.x shortly. That should resolve the RSS issue.

But.. while I have your attention. Go check out Chris Campbell from Particle Tree’s excellent work in extending the script to allow for non-image content: Lightbox Gone Wild

August - Quick Update

I will be in West Virginia from Aug. 3th till Aug. 7th attending a wedding. My lease in Allston runs out Aug. 31st. I’m still unsure as to where I will end up come Sept. 1st.

I’m back from Japan!

Let me sort through the photos and I’ll post the nicer ones.

Job Search

Freelancing has it’s benefits, but the extracurricular work involved isn’t for me. I’m gonna hunker down and get a regular job. I’ll let you know how my search goes.

Philly

Steph and I made it back from Philly this last weekend. I snapped a couple photos here and there. The Liberty Bell was nice to see, even though it was a bit smaller than I expected. 3 feet from lip to crown: Liberty Bell My co-roadtripper Steph doing something really important on the computer: Steph We stayed with my friend Sandie and her roommate Sarah (she’s in this picture). They’re both attending Pennsylvania University for Design: Sarah View of downtown: downtown philly Same idea, but I panned the camera left a bit: flags in Philly The mammoth art museum in Philly. Those are the ‘Rocky’ steps: Art Museum I don’t have any photo evidence but we ate vegetarian Philly Cheese Steaks at a little place called Gianna’s. We also tried Ethopian food for our first time.

Next Week +

I’ll be in New Hampshire from the 12th to the 16th. After that, I’ll be spending a couple of nights in Philadelphia and returning back to Boston for the 19th. Expect a photo of me and the Liberty Bell real soon.

Radio on the Web != Web Radio

One of my new favorite things is listening to archived radio broadcasts online. It all started when I discovered that NPR’s This American Life had put up there complete archive online, free to be streamed. It’s great nap or sleepy time listening. A couple other shows worth checking out online:
  • Frontline - They have 43 full episodes of their tv show available online! It’s not quite radio, but you can close your eyes and follow the story, no problem. My favorite episodes: An Ordinary Crime, Burden of Innocence, and Son of Al Qaeda.
  • Sound Portraits - Highly recommend: Ghetto Life 101, Remorse: The 14 Stories of Eric Morse, and The Execution Tapes.
  • Studio 360
  • Let the Good Times Roll
